Description Graves' vaginal speculum. Nickel-plated metal duck-billed bivalve speculum; fixed posterior blade is extended at proximal end to form a straight handle with inward hook at end; anterior blade is shorter than posterior blade and has a short slit at proximal end; the proximal end of anterior blade extends on one side to form an arm that opens and closes the hinged anterior blade; the arm is controlled by a thumb screw and threaded rod; anterior blade is hinged to a forked handle with slit in center, connected to straight handle with wing nut; marked: "Hartz."
