Wild Heerbrugg binocular compound microscope in damaged case; HANDLE WITH CAUTION; black polymer coated and painted brass microscope with U-shaped base and curved arm; arm and stage fixed and do not rotate; coarse adjustment via knob near base moves stage up and down, fine adjustment by smaller knob behind it; substage abbe condenser adjustable for height; mount for lamp beneath that, stage has rounded front, and can be adjusted front and back by a knob, position of slide adjustabble; head and attached eyepieces rotate 360 degrees; beneath is revolving nosepiece with room for four objectives; width of eyepieces adjusted by revolving them around central pin, left adjustable for length; front of head is marked "WILD HEERBRUGG SWITZERLAND." |

The front of the microscope tube connection is signed "WILD HEERBRUGG SWITZERLAND No 11042." The tag from the antiques dealer Du Mouchelles is still attached and reads "'WILD' HEERBRUGG, SWITZERLAND, 15X MICROSCOPE, C 1930, 13' H." The front of the stage is signed, "WILD HEERBRUGG" and has the serial number 11452, while the number of the arm is 2349. The device and its box are both damaged and incomplete. The adjusting knob for the eyepieces is non functional. The plastic finish has split and is coming off in sheets. The shelves of the box are damaged, the back of the box is split and broken, and the bottom is only barely attached. The seams are splitting all over the box, and the rack on the right side is empty. The shelf on the bottom left contains 2x stage clips, 1x mirror, 2x machine screws, and 1x piece of broken liner. |
