Description |
Hemostatic forceps. Two symmetrical nickel-plated steel blades are joined by aseptic joint to form scissor-like instrument; handles have obliquely turned circular finger rings; shanks are flat on interior and beveled on exterior and broaden, narrow, then broaden from joint to handles, with ratchet closure near handles; joint is modified by lock in which one shank has knotch with short, beveled, square exterior section; curved jaws are of heavy, bulbous style and taper slightly to blunt points; when jaws are fully closed an open, almond-shaped space is formed between jaws; heavy, horizontal serrations run along full length of curved section of jaws. |
